Even though all of us who were so engaged into, nothing compared to what that value was, what that emotion was too. Peter Feigin: Hey, John thanks for having me. My fantasy, I had two fantasies growing up. How do we continue to not only understand it, but monetize it in a very big way? We're not only going to be public, we're going to privately help kind of move the cause and funding. Peter: The same he is, everywhere else. Its like winning the life lottery.. How do we think about marketing around the world? I have an identical twin brother who happens to still be in New York and runs a private school called Trevor Day School. Well the goal on the court is we want to win a championship. Peter: Yeah, so I think its here and I think its all about the customization, right. Theyre the worst. Are you allowed to talk about that, Peter? When he called Milwaukee "the most segregated, racist place I've ever experience in my life" in 2016, Feigin was just being a straight shooter intent on improving the neighborhood. But now, going into the future, obviously in the present now, we got fans at the games now, which I know is massive for the organization. It looks amazing. That automatically and having him sign for the next five years, that gives you this springboard that we think. I wanted to be in marketing in sales. Nobody ever thought it would be a year shutdown, but our owners are kind of incredible people, who want to see a plan, who want to see a recommendation and want to go forward. I suggested a lot of people who would be great presidents, and lo and behold, none of them worked out to do it, so I think they had to default to me to run the company.". Its a difference maker, especially now in our labor market. Talk about that. Peter: Married. As you said, because of your mom and dads background, and because you had some of the rock stars of industry, as you say, Masters of the Universe, as your partners, you got to meld your experiences, your parents coaching, and then the rock stars came and they were also, you got a perfect soup of business experience to create this amazing success story. Above me there are my two children, my son, Tyler, my daughter, Courtney. You end up with a Jew holiday, who is this incredible, understated, all star. It's there is no time balance, so it's kind of surreal. And at the core, I've always been a sales and marketing guy. They just happen to be huge group buys of 200-300 people with Greek flags behind the visiting bench. I do." Peter: Yeah, it is a combination of both because you really, I had a real rare opportunity to get out of sports and work outside of the sports industry for wealth. It is so important that kind of at least in our infrastructure. But, boy, you talk about how you go to sleep like the night, a night in March, in the middle of March last year thinking like, "Oh, my God. Anyone can read what you share. How could we reduce our costs immediately knowing that we weren't operating? Just what you said is like were always coming in this balance of how do we, we want Giannis to represent the Bucks brand. John: It looks amazing. Even though you're at the World of Disney, even Disney after about 10 days, you're ready to get out of Disney no matter where you are. I answer that by saying like we were successful because at the time the Brooklyn Nets, the Orlando Magic, and a bunch of other teams were selfless with their help with us on how to have best practices on how to build an arena and how to build an infrastructure on how to form. That is like what you live for. By the way, Aaron is a fanatical basketball fan, and by the way, a regular classic Wisconsin superstar wants to come to a game, pays for his ticket wants to be left to watch the game. So, if you're against equality, then we probably never will understand or get along or agree with each other." We thought we were a progressive, pretty forward thinking organization. Peter Feigin: And then, one of the more proud moments in pro sports, we lead a boycott to a game, that becomes really a pause for the entire world. I mean, nobody understands like players have a handful of days off the entire season. And with that, Feigin became the business brains behind a team about to set NBA standards in architecture, basketball operations and technology -- only he didn't know it. And I think the only thing anybody can control is their own effort and kind of their own dreams and where they want to go. Peter Feigin. Peter Feigin: That's right. John: Hey, Peter. I know youve said your pops passed. That's right. Youre physically building an arena, a district, a template for success. And he has represented at the highest level. And I think what happened in this year, in so many ways, was a great splash of ice water thinking like, "Boy, we got a long way to go." And everyone was thrilled when Keefe showed up. In business it takes a real challenging of like where your growth is going to come from I in a big way. That's the way we think about it. He's the president of the Milwaukee Bucks and he's a native New Yorker. By the way, its so much fun. And I think of it, Michael, to answer the second part, it's like we thought we were woke. If my guys in high school or college gave me the finger as the point back on the assists from a backdoor or something, I think I got more of a thrill out of that than I got out of scoring points. We were either 29th or 30th in a league of 30 teams, we were in a 25-year-old arena, that part of this was how do we get a new arena built? And we thought we were in a place and we're nowhere close to how good we can be or how we can use this NBA platform and our players and our organization to help change the community, to help change our performance as a team, and to be better citizens. And I'm not that much of a spiritual person, but I feel like I have been blessed/lucky 10 times more than I ever thought I'd be in my whole life. You got into really like, "How do we create resources for people to just talk about how they're feeling, about how they vent, about how do they get support for their lives?" John: Oh, my Gosh. Feigin was a four-year member of the men's soccer team as a midfielder during his undergraduate career at Franklin & Marshall. Thats just what a joy. There was a collective effort on you guys to really, really embrace the city. Michael Red: I'm a big believer that the healthier the person, the healthier the product, healthier the business. Peter: its not the biggest, but it just talks about how special when you talk about in a small market, and we try to coalesce with the Brewers and the Packers as much as we can to be like the strength of these three pro teams and their players and their coaches and our coaches and GM spend a lot of time with the coaches and GMs at the Packers, which is just great.
